Leadership Team

Michael Claudio, Owner/CEO

EHD Technologies co-founder and CEO, Michael Claudio, earned his bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University.  He joined the work force as a production supervisor for Duracell Battery in 1989.  He then entered the automotive industry as a product engineer for Nissan Motor Manufacturing (Smyrna, Tenn.) in 1991.  Frequently voted the most productive OEM manufacturer in North America, Nissan provided a solid foundation for excellence in manufacturing.  He worked in both the interior and electrical engineering groups while at Nissan, with complete part management responsibilities for product, process and supplier quality control.

His career path then led south to the startup of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Vance, Alabama.   Here Michael helped implement the production system established by Mercedes, an adaptation of the Toyota Production System.  He spent the initial years with Mercedes in an advanced engineering capacity for both interior systems and electrical components, developing the product for system launch and providing assistance in team member training.  Michael then transitioned to Supplier Quality management and was responsible for the Electric and Interior teams, as well as the Receiving Inspection function for the plant.

Traveling extensively to plants in Japan, Europe, and North America, Michael saw the need for skilled quality engineering support and launched EHD Technologies in 2002.  EHD Tech began as a boutique engineering Service Company, providing managed service support for new program launches and supplier quality initiatives.  In 2009, EHD Tech expanded its service offerings in automotive to include 3rd party quality assurance services.  In 2011, EHD Tech formalized its focus on staffing in the automotive space.  EHD Tech began diversifying its clientele to include Information Technology (IT) and Contract Engineering (CE) clients in 2012.

EHD Tech was recently recognized as number 809 on the INC 5000 list, and was also identified as the 8th fastest growing staffing company by Staffing Industry Analysts for 2014.

Currently EHD Tech supports clients in 16 states, Canada and Mexico.

Michael Huffman, Owner/CFO

He entered the automotive industry with General Motors as a wiring harness customer service engineer to multiple vehicle assembly plants. He then progressed into wire harness and electrical center design as an application engineer and then a product release engineer. As the Saturn product development team leader, one of Michael’s main initiatives was warranty reduction. Michael’s next position was in advanced manufacturing quality planning. In this role, he helped Saturn launch their small car model change and the new midsize vehicle. He traveled extensively to Europe and Mexico to draw the global team and best practices together to achieve successful vehicle introductions. With the experience of global program introduction and a new Executive MBA from the University of Delaware, Michael was transferred to Delphi’s Cockpit and Console operations supporting Mercedes Benz in Alabama.
